Virtual Fall Mind Body Seminar on Zoom

Theme: Dynamic Stillness
Saturday, September 26th, 10 am – 11 am CDT
Suggested Donation: $5

As we move into the fall equinox, the world slowly gets more still around us, especially in Chicago. Shifting from trying to find stillness from the scramble of summer to finding freedom in the quiet of fall can be a difficult transition. How do we learn to cultivate dynamic stillness?

This Fall Mind Body Seminar will be a virtual breath and body workshop presented by Eli Brown, who leads the Virtual MBT Zen Shin meditations. Those joining will only need a place to comfortably sit and lay down. We will tap into the body with a guided body scan, learn/practice two different breathing exercises, sit for a 15-minute meditation, chant together, and hear a brief Zen Shin talk. This hour-long workshop is designed to help folks relax, connect with their breath, and cultivate a gentle awareness and sense of calm.
