We had a beautiful Hanamatsuri celebration this year. The highlight was provided by the Dharma School children as they sang two traditional Buddhist gathas—‘In Lumbini’s Garden,’ which tells the story of Buddha’s birth, and ‘Buddha Loves Me’, a longtime MBT children’s favorite. After service we enjoyed a wonderful lunch prepared by our Buddhist Women’s Association. Many thanks to Alvin Hayashi and Jennifer Toguri for sharing their photography. Please enjoy.
